In Almaty, the traditional Republican Competition "Festival of educational ideas" was recently organized by the Republican scientific and practical Center "Daryn" of the Ministry of Education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The objective of the festival is to research and communicate the innovative experience of school principals and teachers in Kazakhstan, thereby encouraging the creative self-realization and professional development of teachers.
250 teachers from all regions of the country – directors, deputy directors, teachers, educators and methodologists of preschool organizations, Music workers, teachers of additional education, class teachers, psychologists, speech therapists, methodologists of regional centers for working with gifted children – attended the festival, which was organized in five directions.
Gulnur Kenzheeva, Physics teacher at NIS Atyrau, competed in the "palette of skills" category in the Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science section and presented her work on the topic "STEAM education: new learning settings" in TED'x format.
- I am quite grateful to have had the chance to participate in the Republican stage of the pedagogical festival. It was a fantastic creative forum where I could interact with people from various corners of the country. In recent years, I have been actively implementing the STEAM educational technique, which is a new style of teaching. My pedagogical goal is to educate students to solve real-life problems using STEAM educational methods and to develop both soft skills and topic competencies.
